Ten Colrain Deeds Recorded in Late July; Only One Discloses a Sale Price

The Franklin County Registry of Deeds recorded 10 property transfers in Colrain between July 10 and Aug. 8, but only one, the July 31 sale of 17 Coombs Hill Rd. for $57,294 to Amerisave Mortgage Corp. and Mortgage Electronic Registration Systems Inc., disclosed a sale price. The other nine transfers, spanning Jacksonville, Thompson, Franklin Hill, Call and Griswoldville roads among others, listed no price. At least seven of the 10 transfers involved a bank, mortgage servicer, debt collector, or the town's tax office as a party, and one appeared to be a transfer within the same family. With price data largely undisclosed, broader conclusions about market direction cannot be drawn from this period's records.
